The Blind Date Rescue by Jo Gafford My Review

About the book

tropical storm serves up a second chance at love for a once-burnt-twice-shy expert water rescuer.

Champion surfer Ford Anderson is a classic shy guy. He’s far more comfortable riding the next big wave than he is braving the perils of dating. So when his best friend tries to coax him into a blind date, he turns him down flat. Only minutes later, he learns that his would-be dinner date is stranded on a sinking yacht.

He wrestles with guilt as he launches a water rescue operation, knowing the lovely grad student would be safe on dry land if he’d asked her out to dinner like he was supposed to.

If he can brave the treacherous waves to reach her in time, he might just get a second chance at that blind date, after all.

Second Edition: This book was previously included in the Disaster City Search and Rescue Series. It has since been revised and recovered for the Texas Hotline Series.

And I thought

I ordered this book to feature in my September On The Road Books Set in Texas . . .

I was introduced recently to Author Jo Gaffords books. I enjoyed the first one I read.

It came as no surprise that this one was just as good especially since it was set in Texas and on the beach.

The action began in the first chapter!

The main characters were thrown together and tossed in the sea.

Ford wastes no time to rescue the lady on the boat.

Jumping in the water he literally rides the waves to save the woman just as the boat capsizes.

Unkown to Ford the woman just happens to be the blind date that his friend was trying to  set him up on that same night.  The date setup whe had declined.

As Ford and the victim each silently pray for God's protection neither realize God is indeed holding them and thier loved ones in His hand.

The Blind Date Rescue is a short sweet fast paced story.

The main characters are both struggling with thier own faith initially.

Ford and Shae are strong, honest, loyal and friendly.

Ford searching, learning about and seeking God.

Shae questioning God.

Author Jo Gafford pens a heartwarming story in a great setting.

I am looking forward to reading more in the series and feating them in my

On The Road event in September.

My Review will appear on all my s.m. platforms and Goodreads.

I have not met Amazon's new purchase criteria to post reviews to the site.
