ABOUT ME:

Hi! I’ve been writing my entire life - a trade magazine column, speeches, novels. Around 2020, I began concentrating on Smoky Mountain Historical Fiction, highlighting the stories behind the log cabins, churches, graveyards, and historical sites of the people who once called the Great Smoky Mountains National Park home.

WHY I WRITE SMOKY MOUNTAIN HISTORICAL FICTION:

My own ancestry on my dad’s side is from the Smokies – from the 1700s! - and we’ve been visiting this beautiful national park and the surrounding mountains for my entire life. Needless to say, this subject is near and dear to my heart.

ABOUT MY BOOKS:

"The people were real. The places still exist. The stories deserve to be remembered." Journey into the Great Smoky Mountains before the national park, where love blossomed on front porches, families struggled through hardship, children grew up beneath softly peaked mountains, and communities were bound together by faith, friendship, and determination.
