Can Ted find Deanna in time to save her? Will Deanna be able to survive until he does? And if they reunite, will they find a way to be together despite the distance between them?

And I thought  

I was happy to find this title available on Audible.   I have read other books by Jo Gafford so I knew I would enjoy it.

What I didn't expect was to say . . . 

Best book of the year!

I expected the same Ole plot.  The girlfriend gets kidnapped or in maybe gets hurt a victim of an accident. 

But in this case there is way more to 5he story. 

Yes poor Deeanna gets buried in rubble after an earthquake at the zoo.  In the reptile house of all things. 

Yes she is rescued by Our/Her hero. 

But. 

The story did not end there and that is what made this title different.   

No spoilers here.  

But Jo Gafford gives the reader lots of danger and suspense. 

All the cast is is great.  

Deanna has a great relationship with her mom and Ken's family.  

Her mom is a dynamo. Just like her daughter.  

Ken has the qualities every girl wants in a boyfriend.  

Girlfriend Rescue is definitely a 5 star read.  

I enjoyed the Audible copy which was free with my membership
